About Me

Hi, my name is Lynda and I have three adult children and two granddaughters.
I live in Rangiora with my husband Graham, and our burmese cats Bentley and
Dodger.

I started making seasonings in 2004 when I was working and trying to put
healthy tasty meals on the table for my family. I was disillusioned with the
mixes from the supermarket, with ingredients I couldn't read or fillers like
potato starch and rice flour.

I started mixing and created the “first five”. I sold them at a market in
Christchurch. Back then it was called “From the Farm Gate”- as we lived on a
dairy farm, this seemed appropriate.

In 2010, we moved to our home in Rangiora. Almost 10 years on, in 2013 we
decided to rebrand and rename. Billies was created, a name inspired from my
younger days. My dear Auntie Billie (her real name was Alice!) and my Nana
Avis were great cooks, always cooking food for anyone who called. My Mum
followed in their footsteps and I was lucky enough to enjoy cooking as much as
they always did.

Billies has evolved and we now have 15 seasonings. Our goal is to help
households throughout New Zealand create tasty food, making everyday
recipes easy to cook. We hand mix in small batches to get the freshest product.
We use the best ingredients we can source in New Zealand including organic
sea salt from Grassmere. We use no fillers or preservatives, and we produce
our products without gluten.

We make 100% natural salt and herb seasonings with the aim to inspire you to
create delicious meals that are easy and affordable for you and your family.
